Welcome to My Bluebird Day!
I'm so happy you could join me! Today is the day before Easter, 2011, and my yard is bursting with beautiful signs of Spring! The kitchen is filled with the amazing aroma of the pineapple upside down cake that we will enjoy with our family at Easter Dinner. Please stop back often and share your blessings, too! You're always welcome here.

Welcome to My Bluebird Day!
Although it's a rainy Saturday, the day before Easter, it is beautiful in my backyard! The blossoms on the old pear tree outside of my dining room window are bursting open, and the goldfinches have returned to the thistle feeders. As I flipped the freshly baked pineapple upside down cake onto the cake dish, I was filled with joy thinking about the delicious Easter Dinner we will enjoy with our family tomorrow after church. The grass, trees, and shrubs are so many shades of green, and they are all glistening from the rain. Oh, I'm really eager for sunny days, but it's fun to see how much my bee balm, phlox, and herbs are growing every day! Brittney, our dog, is loving Spring as much as I am, and she takes every opportunity to roll in the yard that she can. Although she's 10-1/2 years old, she runs around the yard like a young pup now that the warmer temperatures and smells of Spring have arrived. Our grandson helped fill our new birdbath with water for the first time yesterday, but the rain has made it overflow to water the plants growing around it. I always have so many thoughts of what I would like to add to the garden this year. It's so exciting to visit the Open Houses at the local greenhouses and get fresh ideas! Wishing all of you Easter Blessings! Please share your joy this weekend, and come back to visit soon. May you have a Bluebird Day, also!
